this nickname appeared as a joke for the rather disorderly office of the head scientist located on the circus grounds, and the ringleader often likes to stop by and swipe certain key files. however, the scientists still manage to function, so perhaps the disarray is not quite so devastating.

despite the amplified immune systems of most mutants, the scientists house the medical facilities of the circus within the confines of their castle-like laboratory. most mutants attempt to avoid using these facilities due to the close proximity to the research rooms.

the realm of the scientists is far different from the multitude of tents that make up the cauchemar circus, but the fit in nicely with the general nightmarish feel of the area. the laboratory itself is hidden beneath a tent, and it is quite the sight.
